In this one-of-a-kind workshop, historic window specialist Greg Rosenow leads you through the repair and restoration of old wood windows at Litchfield’s historic Little Red Schoolhouse.
You’ll learn the anatomy of a window, how to remove and assess sashes, and various preservation and weatherization methods. Our workshop is hands-on! You’ll get plenty of practice repairing the schoolhouse’s windows. Tasks include paint stripping, glazing, weatherstripping, and reinstalling the sash.
The Little Red Schoolhouse is a one room, red brick schoolhouse built in 1913. Since 2007, a dedicated group of advocates has been committed to celebrating, preserving, and telling the story of the Schoolhouse.
An absolute don’t-miss for anyone who cares for old houses and buildings, this class is presented by Preservation Alliance of Minnesota in partnership with Little Red Schoolhouse, District 59, Inc.
