Description

This hands-on masonry workshop will be hosted at Harrison Park and taught by masonry expert Mike Braun. Participants will join Northern Bedrock AmeriCorps members in learning about historic masonry materials and techniques while working on the park’s historic stone wall. At different hands-on stations, participants will learn techniques like laying brick and spreading mortar, removing mortar joints, re-tucking pointing, mixing mortar, replacing or relaying stone, and pouring a cap for the wall. This workshop is presented by Northern Bedrock Historic Preservation Corps, the City of Duluth, DuluthParksMN, and the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota. 

 

Ticket transfer policy: If you are unable to attend a class but would like to transfer your registration to someone else, please email nheneghan@mnpreservation.org with the contact info of the person that will be taking your spot in class. We’ll update our attendance list accordingly.

Refund policy: Please email nheneghan@mnpreservation.org if you would like a refund on your purchased ticket. PAM will arrange to refund the cost of the class. Refunds are provided up to seven days prior to the class.
